Why Spiders Keep Appearing: Shelter, Prey and Entry Points

Spiders feed on other small animals, including insects. Repeated spider activity can be a reason to look at prey, shelter and entry points, but it does not by itself prove that a home is dirty or has a serious infestation.

Look at where activity repeats

Are sightings near exterior doors, storage boxes, windows or a damp area? Note these locations and photograph the spider from a safe distance. Identification helps determine which conditions and service options are relevant.

Make practical changes

• Organize stored items so corners and floor edges can be inspected.
• Check accessible screens, door sweeps and openings.
• Remove reachable webs where appropriate and record whether they return.
• Report recurring insect activity, leaks or damaged building materials.

Keep plants from resting against the siding where practical. If moisture or mold is suspected, investigate its cause separately; a spider sighting does not diagnose a building problem.

Discuss a focused service plan
