Identification and habits

These small brown-to-dark ants are known for an odor when crushed. Colonies may use multiple nesting sites and queens, so visible workers do not reveal the full extent of activity.

What to do at your property

Record trails before cleanup, store food securely and report leaks. Tell the technician about previous products. Ask how to coordinate cleaning with any bait and when continuing activity should be reassessed; there is no fixed number of days that resolves every problem.
