Brown dog ticks can become an indoor problem in homes and kennels. Repeated ticks around a dog’s resting area deserve a coordinated plan for the animal and the building.
Identification and habits
Unlike many ticks encountered outdoors, this species can infest indoor spaces. Dogs are an important host. Identification matters because a tick carried inside after a walk is different from evidence of an established indoor infestation.
