Argentine Ant Identification and Property Tips

Argentine ants are small brown ants whose identification requires more than color alone. Confirm the species before choosing treatment.

Identification and habits

Workers are fairly uniform in size and dull brown. Colonies may have multiple queens and connected nesting sites. A general profile does not establish that a particular ant is present at your Missouri property.

What to do at your property

Record trails and entry locations, clean food spills and report moisture sources. Share a close-up or specimen for identification, and ask how any bait or treatment should be coordinated with cleaning.
